1.
Our Father 02:54
Our Father in heaven,
 Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.
 Your will be done
 On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts,
 As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation,
 But deliver us from the evil one.
 For Yours is the kingdom And the power and the glory forever. Amen.
2.
Beware of false prophets, Who come to you in sheep’s clothing, But inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Beware of false prophets, Who come to you in sheep’s clothing, But inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Beware of false prophets, Who come to you in sheep’s clothing, But inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
3.
Ask, and it will be given to you; Seek, and you will find; knock, And it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, And he who seeks finds, And to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, If his son asks for bread, Will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, Will he give him a serpent? Ask, and it will be given to you; Seek, and you will find; Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, And he who seeks finds, And to him who knocks it will be opened. If you then, being evil, Know how to give good gifts to your children, How much more will your Father who is in heaven Give good things to those who ask Him! Or what man is there among you who, If his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Ask, and it will be given to you; Seek, and you will find; Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, And he who seeks finds, And to him who knocks it will be opened. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, Do also to them, For this is the Law and the Prophets.
4.
Be Doers 03:31
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ Shall enter the kingdom of heaven, But he who does the will of My Father in heaven. But be doers, doers of the Word. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, Cast out demons in Your name, And done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, All you who practice lawlessness!’ depart from Me I never knew you.
5.
The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, Your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, Your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, Your whole body will be full of light. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, How great is that darkness! The lamp of the body is the eye.
6.
Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, And does them, I will liken him to a wise man Who built his house on the rock: And the rain descended, The floods came, And the winds came and beat on that house; And it did not fall, For it was founded on the rock. Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, And does them, I will liken him to a wise man Who built his house on the rock: And the rain descended, The floods came, And the winds came and beat on that house; And it did not fall, For it was founded on the rock.
7.
Enter by the narrow gate; For wide is the gate And broad is the way that leads to destruction, And there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate And difficult is the way which leads to life, And there are few who find it. How long, you simple ones, Will you love simplicity?
 For scorners delight in their scorning,
And fools hate knowledge. (Won’t you?) Turn at my rebuke;
 Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
 I will make my words known to you. Because I have called and you refused,
 I have stretched out my hand And no one regarded. To what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces And calling to their companions, and saying: ‘We played the flute for you,
 And you did not dance;
 We mourned to you,
 And you did not lament.’ Enter by the narrow gate; For wide is the gate And broad is the way The way that leads to destruction, And there are many who go in by it. I have stretched out my hand And no one regarded. To what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces And calling to their companions, and saying: ‘We played the flute for you,
And you did not dance;
 We mourned to you,
 And you did not lament.’ Enter by the narrow gate.
8.
No one can serve two masters; For either he will hate the one and love the other, Or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” No one can serve two masters.
9.
“All flesh is grass,
And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades,
 Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it;
 Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades,
 But the word of our God stands forever.” All flesh is as grass,
 And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers,
 And its flower falls away, Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.”
10.
Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees,
 Who write misfortune,
 Which they have prescribed To rob the needy of justice,
 And to take what is right from the poor of My people,
 That widows may be their prey,
 And that they may rob the fatherless. What will you do in the day of punishment,
 And in the desolation which will come from afar?
 To whom will you flee for help? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners,
And they shall fall among the slain.” For all this His anger is not turned away,
 But His hand is stretched out still.
11.
How you are fallen from heaven,
 O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
 You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven. For you have said in your heart:
 ‘I will ascend into heaven, (And)
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
 On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
 I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven.
12.
O Mighty One 06:33
Upon the wicked He will rain coals;
Fire and brimstone and a burning wind
 Shall be the portion of their cup. The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
 To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One,
 With Your glory and Your majesty. You have hedged me behind and before,
 And laid Your hand upon me. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth. Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One,
 With Your glory and Your majesty. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, And upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One,
 With Your glory and Your majesty.

about

Songs Of The Way is delighted to announce the release of a fifth album entitled “The Narrow Gate”. The band’s new offering is an alternative rock album with the lyrical content predominantly set in Matthew chapters 6 and 7. These scriptures have been put to song in a manner intended to get them stuck in your heart and mind. If we meditate on God's word daily it has the power to transform the believer from the inside out. Songs Of The Way hopes that the words of Jesus contained in these songs will assist you on that journey. Also featured on the album are a range of other fantastic scriptures that tie in nicely with the content of our Lord's challenging sermon.
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
